Champion Family Residency Program is a Rural 1 + 2 Track program partnered with Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
On July 1, 2021, our PGY-2 residents will join GCRMC for their second and third years of training. The residency program will train residents over the next two years under the leadership of Dr. Leandrita F. Ortega (Program Director) and Dr. Monica Wilkins (Associate Program Director.)
People of all ages can receive excellent medical care from the resident physicians at Champion Family Medicine. You will have at least two physicians involved in your care – a Resident Physician and an experienced Supervising Physician.
What to expect from a medical visit with a resident?
• Residents review all patient cases with their Supervising Physician, who will confirm their diagnosis and ensure the correct treatment.
• Family Medicine health center services are covered by most insurance.
• Residents tend to spend extra time with their patients as a result, you will receive comprehensive, attentive and thorough care.
