The Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center Champlain program consists of 22 chaplains who are clergy from the community representing approximately 8 different denominations. Each chaplain serves for 2 days per month. A duty chaplain is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. The program began July 1, 2000 shortly after the hospital moved to its new location. It is a ministry to patients, patient families and hospital staff.

The hospital also has a chapel that is available to anyone who needs a quiet place to pray or just be alone. There are also Bibles in several languages donated and maintained by the Gideons.

For more information concerning the program or information on becoming a volunteer chaplain, contact any active chaplain or you may call Bart Montgomery at 575-443-7878.
