Dr. Zaira Lucero Villa is a PGY-2 Family Medicine Resident at CHRISTUS Southern New Mexico Family Medicine. She was born and raised in Chihuahua, Mexico. She attended medical school at Universidad Autonoma de Chihuahua. Following medical school, Dr. Lucero worked in Chihuahua for three years before moving to New Mexico. She had great experiences working in a rural community and later on in an emergency department in her hometown.
She loves exploring this Land of Enchantment in her free time while hiking, cycling or camping with her family. She can’t wait to become a primary care physician and serve the community she now calls home.
