Dr. Nels Dahlgren, MD, is an interventional pain medicine physician with over 15 years experience in a vast array of advanced pain management techniques. Specializing in minimally invasive surgeries, Dr. Dahlgren is proficient in spinal cord stimulation, intrathecal drug delivery, kyphoplasty and vertebroplasty for vertebral compression fractures, along with pioneering procedures such as the Intracept procedure for lumbar degeneration and Vertiflex for lumbar stenosis, both developed by Boston Scientific.
Dr. Dahlgren’s skill set extends to comprehensive pain medicine procedures, including spine, joint, and nerve injection and ablation, emphasizing ultrasound and X-ray guided interventions and radiofrequency ablation. His clinical interests are focused on the management of cancer pain and end-stage disease pain, demonstrating a commitment to improving the quality of life for patients dealing with chronic conditions.
Board-certified in anesthesiology, interventional pain medicine, and addiction medicine, Dr. Dahlgren adopts a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to pain management.
