Application Requirements

A completed application with all supplemental documents through the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS) must be submitted to be considered for a position. You must be a graduate of a LCME-accredited medical school, AOA accredited osteopathic school, ECGMG certified international medical graduate, or completed a Fifth Pathway program in an LCME-accredited school. Successful clearance of fingerprinted background check and drug screening.

Program Highlights Salary

PGY 1 Salary: $59,000 CME: $450
PGY 2 Salary: $61,000 CME: $600
PGY 3 Salary: $63,000 CME: $750

Benefits

  • Paid Time Off: 21 days away from residency to include vacation, sick, personal etc.
    *CME days for PGY-2 and PGY-3

  • Insurance: Health, dental, vision, professional liability, Life/ADD/short-term disability, 401K and Roth 401K.

  • Training: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, ALSO.

  • Dues: American Academy of Family Physicians, New Mexico Medical Society, Dona Ana County Medical Society (PGY-1 year).

  • Licenses: Training license with the state of New Mexico (PGY3’s may apply for a full state license, which is required for graduation)

  • Board Examination: Residents will be reimbursed for their board exam fee upon success passage of the AFMB board exam.
