Jana McBurney, CNP
Nurse Practitioner, Family Medicine
Ms. Jana McBurney is part of the Family Medicine Residency clinical staff at CHRISTUS Health (CHRISTUS Health).
Ms. McBurney is an accomplished nurse practitioner with over 20 years of healthcare experience. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Michigan State University and then earned her Master of Science degree at Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, graduating in the top 1% of her class. She holds a national certification with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Ms. McBurney previously practiced at Holloman Air Force Base before joining CHRISTUS Health. She is providing family medical care for acute and chronic illness as well as women’s health procedures. Jana has been a nurse since 1995 with experience in intensive care, labor and delivery and women’s health.
A New Mexico native, originally from Roswell, Ms. McBurney is passionate about education, patient-centered care, caring for her previous military patients and the surrounding community and raising her young daughter in Alamogordo.
