Community Update – Coronavirus
We have prepared our hospital and our staff to meet the needs identified at this time. We have taken appropriate steps in anticipation of receiving patients with this virus. We are following the guidelines from the Department of Health for all testing and treatment.
If your doctor orders testing call the scheduling line, 575-443-7505 for an appointment. All specimens will be sent to the Department of Health in Santa Fe, NM for testing. We have not received any patients meeting this diagnosis as of March 6, 2020. The State of New Mexico has not confirmed any cases.

Please note the following advice from the CDC:
- This Virus spreads through close contact with an infected person.
- The symptoms are fever, cough and shortness of breath.
- Call your healthcare provider if you have symptoms and have traveled in China, South Korea, Japan, Iran & Italy in the past two weeks.
- Prevention: wash your hands often, avoid touching your eyes nose and mouth with unclean hands, clean and disinfect high touch surfaces often, avoid close contact with people that are ill and stay home when you are sick.
Remember we are still in the midst of flu season. Flu vaccines are still available.
