**Community Notice: The Rehabilitation Center of Alamogordo will no longer accept inpatients effective May 5, 2023. A number of factors have led to this decision to include low census, difficulty recruiting providers and demand for more medical/surgical beds. Patients in need of additional therapy will receive care on the medical unit. Patients needing acute rehabilitation will be referred to other rehabilitation centers.
The current rehabilitation center will become the home of our new Orthopedic Center. The arrival of two new orthopedic surgeons in August requires additional space for orthopedic trauma and joint replacement patients.
We are proud of the service our rehabilitation staff has provided to the community over the past ten years. Their dedication to exceptional service and quality outcomes has made a difference in many lives.
The outpatient rehabilitation service will continue without interruption.
