Dr. Charles Race is a member of Family Medicine Residency faculty at CHRISTUS Health (CHRISTUS Health).

Dr. Charles Race is a board certified, General Orthopaedic Surgeon who has been practicing for 25 years. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Trinity University, Master’s degree from University of Texas and obtained his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, Georgetown University. Dr Race completed his internship at the Baylor College of Affiliated Teaching Hospitals in General Surgery, Houston, TX and his orthopaedic residency at Portsmouth Naval Hospital.

Dr. Race has general orthopaedic experience with subspecialty focus on total joint arthroplasty, trauma, shoulder surgery, knee surgery, hand surgery, anthroscopic surgery and sports medicine.  He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons.  He is an active member of the Mid American Orthopaedic Surgery Society, Western Orthopaedic Association, the Arthroscopy Association of North American, and the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons.   He is a diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Race is married with 5 children.  He enjoys motorcycling, classic cars, camping, hiking, tropical fish and traveling in his free time.  He recently received the Paul Harris award from Rotary International.
