Chaplains

The CHRISTUS Health Chaplain program consists of 22 chaplains who are clergy from the community, representing approximately 8 different denominations. Each chaplain serves for two days per month. A duty chaplain is available 24 hours, seven days a week. The program began July 1, 2000, shortly after the hospital moved to its new location. It is a ministry to patients, patient’s families, and hospital staff.

The hospital also has a chapel available to anyone who needs a quiet place to pray or be alone. There are also Bibles in several languages donated and maintained by the Gideons.

For more information concerning the program or information on becoming a volunteer chaplain, contact any active chaplain or you may call Bart Montgomery at 575-443-7878.
