Position Title: Ultrasound Tech

Department:Diagnostic Imaging Services
Position Description: Provides healthcare services, applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of disease in humans. Performs ultrasonic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. This description is not intended to be a complete list of duties. Other related duties may be assigned.

The above wage range reflects the minimum, midpoint and maximum hourly rate for this position. New employees are hired between the minimum and midpoint of this range. The initial wage offered will be based on qualifications and experience.

    Qualifications:
    Education:Graduate of Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation accredited ultrasound program or graduate of ultrasound program with work experience. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or equivalent. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Must take “on-call” duty and respond within 30 minutes of request.
