Position Title: Monitor Tech/Unit Secretary - ICU

Department:Intensive Care Unit
Position Description: Monitors ICU and telemetry patients.
Obtains rhythm strips and documents the strips in the patient’s medical record.
Answers, directs, prioritizes and refers telephone calls and messages appropriately.
Practices basic computer and office skills.
Answers phone calls within 3 rings. Places and transfers phone calls using appropriate telephone etiquette.
Answers patient call lights within 3 beeps and directs patient/family requests appropriately.
Supports and encourages a harmonious working relationship within the unit and other departments.

Shift Time Schedule:6:45 PM - 7:15 am
The above wage range reflects the minimum, midpoint and maximum hourly rate for this position. New employees are hired between the minimum and midpoint of this range. The initial wage offered will be based on qualifications and experience.

    Qualifications:
    Education:High School diploma or GED. Some formal office training preferred to include computer software. Completion of EKG course. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    Special Skills:Able to read/write English. Basic computer knowledge. Ability to interpret EKG arrhythmias.
