Position Title: ECHO Technologist

Department:Cardiopulmonary
Position Description: Perform professional level, complex diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations independent of physician supervision; determine diagnostic parameters as needed to acquire images of cardiac anatomy, pathophysiologic data, and blood flow analysis relative to patient’s clinical presentation, clinical history and referral information. Additional duties as a Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) will include EKG’s, Holter & Event hook up, monitoring and scanning and stress testing. Ensures adherence to Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures. Patient care assignment may include; Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric age groups. Other related duties may be assigned

The above wage range reflects the minimum, midpoint and maximum hourly rate for this position. New employees are hired between the minimum and midpoint of this range. The initial wage offered will be based on qualifications and experience.

    Qualifications:
    Education:High School graduate or equivalent, BLS, ACLS preferred, Certificate of completion from an accredited Echosonography program, ARDMS certification required, graduate must complete within 6 months of hire OR, with experience equivalent to criteria for eligibility for taking Board Examination in Adult Echocardiography by ARDMS.
    Special Skills: Excellent communication, team building and problem solving skills.
