Position Title: Clinical Resource Nurse

Position Description: The CLINICAL RESOURCE NURSE is a registered nurse responsible for total clinical coordination of a designated patient population. The CLINICAL RESOURCE NURSE is responsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care through effective management of the total patient care services during his/her assigned shift. Actively role models and coaches the behaviors associated with the Leadership, Art and Science of Nursing. Assists others in developing their skills and knowledge. The CLINICAL RESOURCE NURSE practices Relationship Centered Care in concert with the GCRMC values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence. The RN, CLINICAL RESOURCE NURSE manages the nursing operations of the Medical/Surgical Unit, including coordination of patient care, supervision of the professional team which includes multiple nursing staff and other staff as appropriate, assists with the administrative management and troubleshooting of problem areas. The CLINICAL RESOURCE NURSE ensures adherence to Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center and departmental policies and to the nursing procedures, standards, and practices.

The above wage range reflects the minimum, midpoint and maximum hourly rate for this position. New employees are hired between the minimum and midpoint of this range. The initial wage offered will be based on qualifications and experience.

    Qualifications:
    Education:Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, baccalaureate degree preferred. Holds current licensure in the state as a registered professional nurse. Possesses good oral and written communication skills. Demonstrates interpersonal relationships in a manner, which enhances communication, promotes conflict resolution and facilitates staff development. Additional languages preferred. Basic computer knowledge. Skills and knowledge to sustain and evaluate competence in the care of the age and type of patient populations served. Demonstrates leadership, managerial ability and the application of good interpersonal relationships and principles of supervision and administration.
    Experience:Progressive acute care experience required.
    Special Skills:Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
    License Required:Registered nurse with current New Mexico license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Current ACLS and BLS. TNCC within one year of hire.
