Position Title: Clinical Documentation Specialist

Department:Health Information Management
Position Description: The Clinical Documentation Specialist (CDS) will conduct clinically based concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient medical records to evaluate the clinical documentation of acute care services. This individual will work closely with physicians and medical staff to facilitate complete physician documentation of patient care.

Shift Time Schedule:8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Days:Mon-Fri Sat/Sun
The above wage range reflects the minimum, midpoint and maximum hourly rate for this position. New employees are hired between the minimum and midpoint of this range. The initial wage offered will be based on qualifications and experience.

    Qualifications:
    Education:Must be a High School graduate or equivalent. .
    Experience:Minimum of 3+ years of clinical experience in an acute care setting is desirable
    Special Skills:Knowledge of the elements of disease processes and related medical record documents a must. Requires a better than basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
    License Required:Valid RN License required
