Nursing
Over 200 Nurses 
The nursing department consists of five in-patient departments, Maternal-Child, ICU, Medical, Surgical and Telemetry Units. Other departments include the Operating Room, Emergency Department, and Outpatient Care Unit. Our Outpatient Care Unit is open Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Our average daily census is 50. Surgical cases average 300 per month. Our annual deliveries are approximately 700. The Nursing Department at Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center consists of approximately 200 nurses with support from nursing assistants and unit secretaries.
Our starting salary for nurses is competitive with the surrounding community. Up to ten years of experience pay is available for qualifying applicants. A progressive orientation plan is designed for new graduates and experienced nurses. Tuition Reimbursement for all education classes including books is available as welll as help with relocation. Our benefit package for nurses includes Extra Shift Bonus, Night Shift Differential, Weekend Differential, On-Call Pay, Team Leader Pay, Certification Pay, BSN/MSN degree pay, Preceptor Pay, Merit Increases and wage increases. We offer a longevity bonus, Paid Leave Time, Major Medical Bank, and 401(k) in addtition to other benefits. A remote BSN program is also available on the Units. |
