Medical/Surgical Care
An outstanding team of nurses, nursing assistances and clerical staff, staff the medical-surgical unit. We have seventy beds serving medical, surgical and telemetry patients. We collaborate with New Mexico State University to provide a clinical site for student nurses.

GCRMC provides an exceptional internship for our graduate nurses. All graduate nurses are entered in our six- month mentoring program. The program offers classroom and hands on experience. When the graduate nurses start on the patient units, they receive smaller assignments throughout their six-month orientation.

This focus to nurture the new nurse has received special recognition throughout the state of New Mexico.
