Position Title: Computer Support Specialist
Position Purpose:	The Computer Support Specialists role is to provide a single point of contact for end-users to receive support and maintenance within the organization’s desktop computing environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via e-mail) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required. Participate in department on-call rotation. Other related duties may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifiactions:	Preferred Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science/Information Systems, or related fields. High school diploma preferred. Should be very familiar with the following: Last three most recent Windows operating system releases, working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards, including [tcpip, windows, hl7]. Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail. Self motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Hands on hardware troubleshooting experience. Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong customer-service orientation. Lifting and transporting of heavy to moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals. Dexterity of hand and fingers to operate computer keyboard, mouse, hand and power tools and to handle other computer components.

Qualifications:

	Experience Requriements:	Programming experience a plus
	Certificates, Licenses and Registrations Required:	Certifications in A+, Network+, CNE, MSP or MCSE certification a plus, but not required, will substitute for applicable experience.
