GCRMC Employees Dig Deep
The Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center employees have been digging deep into their pockets and purses to help others in our community. The latest event was a PURSE DRIVE to benefit our local C.O.P.E. (Center of Protective Environment).
Employees were asked to purchase a new handbag and fill it with items such as a hair brush, comb, chapstick, nail file, mirror, etc., items that residents of C.O.P.E. didn’t have time to grab before they their left their homes.
Fifty-seven purses were filled to the brim with personal items and delivered to C.O.P.E. on Mother’s Day. The GCRMC Catering Department prepared a meal for the residents, and members of the Reach Out and Touch Committee served the them dinner. |
