Wholesome, nourishing, and well-balanced meals are an important part of your treatment and recovery. Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center makes every effort to provide nutritious meals that are prepared according to your doctor’s orders.
Patients are served breakfast between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m., lunch between 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 noon, and dinner between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m. Occasionally your meal may be delayed if you are scheduled for a special test or treatment. Whenever possible, you will be served after your examination or test.
A five-day menu is provided in the patient room. If you are not pleased with the five-day menu, you may select from the alternate items listed. Please call ext. 7452 with any changes at least two hours before your scheduled meal.
Guest Trays
If a family member or friend wants to eat in your room with you, the person may go to the cafeteria, buy a meal there, and take it back to your room. If the person does not want to go to the cafeteria, a guest meal tray can be delivered to your room. Guest trays cost $3.50. Please be prepared to pay when the tray arrives.
Cafeteria
The cafeteria at Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center hours of operation are listed below. While it is primarily designed to serve hospital employees, visitors are welcome to eat in the cafeteria anytime it is open.
- Breakfast - 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
- Hot Lunch - 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- Grill and Salad Bar - 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Dinner - 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Weekend hours are:
- Lunch - 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- Dinner - 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Grill is not available
Vending Machines
Vending machines for snacks and beverages are located off the medical mall near the gift shop and outside the Emergency Waiting Room. They are available 24 hours a day.
