Paid Time Off (PTO) is earned at either a full-time or part-time rate per pay period. One to five years receive 6.00 hours per pay period. Six to ten years receive 7.53 hours per pay period, and 11 years and above receive 9.07 hours per pay period. PTO cannot be taken within the first six months after eligibility. After that time, it must be taken in full hour increments.

Sick Leave is earned at either a full-time or part-time rate per pay period. You may use sick leave for yourself or a minor child being ill. After you have reached a maximum amount, you continue to accrue for that year. The hospital buys all hours you have over the maximum the first payroll of December each year.

Hospitalization Insurance is offered to all employees for a minimal charge. Human Resources will be happy to provide current rates for family coverage.

Life Insurance is provided by the hospital. If you wish, you may take out additional coverage and have the premium payroll deducted.

401K After you have worked 1,000 hours for two years, the hospital puts in the equivalent of 5% of your gross pay each year into the plan. It is only a calculation figure, nothing is deducted from your pay. When you have worked 1,000 per year for 2 years you become vested at 20%, 3 years is 40%, it jumps 20% each year, making you 100% vested at 6 years. What that means to you is at the time you retire from GCRMC or terminate your employment, you are eligible for the amount of money you are vested.

Dental Insurance is available for purchase. There are two coverages to select from. Forms are available in the Human Resource Office.

Shift/Night Differential is paid for all hours worked between 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM.

Weekend Differential is 10% of your base rate for all hours worked from 11:00 PM Friday to 11:00 PM Sunday.

Direct Deposit is arranged with all of the banks/credit unions. The money is sent to the bank on Friday of payroll week. You still receive a check stub so you can see exactly what has been paid.

Experience Credit may be awarded with approval of your department manager/administration.

Educational Assistance may be available, with manager/administration approval, for expenses encountered to attend a workshop.

Educational Assistance is available for approved health care courses.

Discount of hospital bill is available for part-time and full-time employees and their immediate family members.

Savings/loan payroll deduction for Otero Federal Credit Union.
