Position Title: Patient Services Assistant (C.N.A.)

Position Description: The Nursing Assistant provides direct and indirect patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse or physician. Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides for personal care, emotional support and performs more complex clinical skills under the direction of a licensed personnel. This description is not intended to be a complete list of duties. Other duties may be assigned. There are currently two positions available.

The above wage range reflects the minimum, midpoint and maximum hourly rate for this position. New employees are hired between the minimum and midpoint of this range. The initial wage offered will be based on qualifications and experience.

    Qualifications:
    Education:High School diploma or GED. Certification preferred, but not required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

    Assists with patient admissions, transfers and discharge Provides ADL care to includes, passing water bed baths, shower, oral hygiene, changing bed linens both unoccupied and occupied beds, cleaning overhead tables, straightening room snacks and other general care as needed. ► Provides evening care to include: passing water back rub if necessary, bed baths, shower, oral hygiene, changing bed linens both unoccupied and occupied beds, cleaning overhead tables, straightening room evening snacks and other general care as needed.

    Comments
    Provides general nursing care such as positioning, transfers to chair or stretcher, lifting and turning patients, specialized equipment, bedpan, commode chair and ambulating patients.
    Answers call lights anticipates patient needs makes frequent rounds
    Demonstrates the ability to perform procedures, ex; glucose monitoring, within the Nursing Assistant’s scope of practice.
    Reports complaints about pain immediately to licensed personnel.
    Observes patients mental and physical conditions, reports changes immediately to licensed personnel.
    Optimizes patient safety
    Maintains Universal Precautions and follows policies and procedures.
